Visiting scholarships at the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law

As part of the targets for increasing the proportion of women in academia, the faculty has funds available to support career development measures for young female researchers at the faculty.

Research periods at foreign research locations are an important component of a career in research. We would like to encourage talented female researchers who are pursuing a career in research and wish to plan a research stay abroad.

Scope:

Researchers may apply for funding of up to €2,200 per month per person and a maximum of €6,600 euros in total. Childcare allowances may be paid out additionally.

Use:

The funds may be used to cover the costs incurred for up to three months of a research stay abroad. Recipients are required to submit a report of their experiences to the Officer for equal opportunities for women in science and the arts at the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law.

Target group:

Funding is intended for female postdoctoral researchers, habilitation candidates and assistant professors not on the tenure track.

How to apply:

Applications should be submitted to the Officers for equal opportunities for women in science and the arts at the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law and include:

  • Curriculum vitae including a list of publications
  • Letter of support from the Chair (or for assistant professors: from a professor in a related subject at the faculty)
  • A short project description that explains the preliminary work already carried out and a work plan detailing the content and schedule for the funding period in question (approx. 3 pages plus work plan)
  • Placement of the project in the applicant’s career plan
  • Children’s birth certificates (if applicable)

Application period:

Applications may be received at any time until the funding is exhausted.
