Target agreements with the Faculty of Engineering

The fourth target agreement round 2023–2027 has been in force since January 1, 2023.

The measures listed in the target agreements for increasing the proportion of women in academia are aimed to help FAU reach the following goals:

  • Increase the proportion of female students at the Faculty of Engineering from 25.6% (as of December 2020) to 30% by the end of 2027
  • Increase the proportion of doctoral degrees completed by female doctoral candidates at the Faculty of Engineering from 20.1% (as of December 2020) to 25% by the end of 2027
  • Increase the proportion of female staff with doctoral degrees at the Faculty of Engineering from 18.6% (as of June 2021) to 30% by the end of 2027 (Target from 2018-2022 target agreement: 27%; as of April 1, 2019: 24.3%)
  • Increase the percentage of women among permanent research staff at the Faculty of Engineering from 12.9% (December 2020) to 22% by the end of 2027 (target from 2018-2022 target agreement)
  • Increase the proportion of female professors at the Faculty of Engineering from 10% (as of December 2020) to 15% by the end of 2027
